Remote-work monitoring system in C++

Work by a team member before SIMYL Research; the provenance is at the end of the entry.

Problem

A company needed a remote-work monitoring system: collect the activity at each workstation, send it to a central server and make it available to a query interface.

Intervention

Design and development of the collector client, which runs on the worker’s computer, and of the collector server, which receives and stores the data, both in C++. The scope of the work was those two components; the query interface, in Elixir, was outside it.

Recorded results

Complete system built with its two components. No figures on monitored workstations, volume or performance are preserved.

Limits

The work was done during employment. The code is not public, and the company is not identified. The responsible member’s records date the work to 2014 and 2015.

Provenance

Prior work: Leandro Rabindranath León, a SIMYL Research team member, designed and developed the collector client and the collector server as an employee of an unnamed company, in 2014 and 2015.
