Scalable sports betting API
We scaled a sports betting API from ~1,000 to peak traffic near one million requests/second by combining high-performance in-memory caching with hash-based routing across multiple gateways. Most repeated requests were served from cache, avoiding recomputing prices and keeping business-appropriate latencies.
Property management SaaS backend
We designed and implemented the backend APIs for a multi-tenant property and condo management platform, handling contracts, payments, notifications, and reporting. The system was built for gradual rollout and growth without downtime.
Rule engines and logic with Prolog

Do you work hourly or per project?
Our preferred model is based on technical deliverables with well-defined milestones and timelines. Typically, this involves a 20% upfront payment at the project’s start, followed by payments tied to each agreed milestone. This approach ensures transparency and keeps both parties aligned with measurable results. While we remain flexible to work on an hourly basis under open estimation schemes if the nature of the challenge requires it, we believe it is not the ideal modality: strictly hourly work often reduces cost predictability for the client and can disincentivize efficiency in technical execution.
Do you cover post-delivery support?
We can cover a transition period while you find maintainers. We also help train or find them.
Do you offer invoicing in Colombia?
Yes. We issue electronic invoices.
What is the minimum project size you work with?
We focus on engagements where we can create clear impact on critical systems. As a rule of thumb, we usually work on projects from several weeks to several months. For smaller needs, we often recommend focused 2–4 hour consulting sessions.
Do you work fully remote or also on-site?
We mainly work 100%% remote from Colombia. For key milestones like workshops, kick-offs, or audits, we can travel on-site when the scope and budget justify it.
Can you work with our current stack if we don't use C++/Go/Rust?
Yes, as long as we have real experience with that stack. If we don’t master it, we’ll say so and focus on architecture, performance, and best practices, or help you define a migration path.
How do you handle confidentiality of our information and code?
We sign NDAs when needed, use repositories with restricted access, and follow security best practices. We do not reuse client-specific code across projects.
Which languages do you work in (Spanish / English / French)?
We can run projects and training in Spanish, English, and French. Written deliverables are usually in English or Spanish, but we adapt to what your team needs.
Do you also build frontends?
Our core expertise is backend systems and APIs. We can take on frontend or full-stack work when the project needs it, but our highest value is behind the interface. In the car-as-a-system metaphor, the frontend is the visible layer (body and dashboard), while the backend is the engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension that make everything run safely and reliably.
